Fontaine 2 Bedroom Village House

This is a warm and welcoming 2 bedroom house in Fontaine, a small traditional hamlet on the outskirts of Brides les Bains, overlooking the valley and the centre of Brides. The old house, built in traditional style, has been sensitively renovated to provide the comfort of modern living whilst retaining some lovely features from the ancient building.

The lovely light open ground floor area has a full kitchen open to a dining table with 6 chairs for chatting over a lovely meal into the evening, and a cosy lounge area with sofa and chairs for family get togethers.

The well equipped kitchen has everything guests could need with a full oven, new hob with four cooking areas, integrated fridge freezer and dishwasher. You will find all you need in the way of kitchenware and crockery to enjoy meals together.

Upstairs, on the first floor, there is a large light bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed and a further single bed plus a balcony with fabulous views over the valley. On this floor there is also the modern shower room with shower, washbasin and storage, toilet and washing machine.

On the top floor there is a single bed on the mezzanine connected to the cosy second bedroom where there are two further single beds. The two areas are separated with a curtain for privacy.

Communal parking for the village is beside the house and the Olympe telecabine is an easy drive of just over 1km into Brides centre where there is free parking. Here there are 230 outdoor parking spaces and 110 indoor ones within 10 minutes (at most) from the telecabine. Alternatively there is a navette bus from Fontaine each morning to Brides and the telecabine, with returns available on demand from any "villages" bus from the telecabine until late afternoon. There is also a pretty path down to Brides for walkers which is just 900m to the centre of the town and takes 15 minutes to walk. If this is blocked with snow then the main way down to Brides is still an easy 20 minute walk at any time of year.

For your comfort the price shown includes one set of bedlinen and towels for 4 people - the king sized bed in bedroom 1 and two single beds in bedroom 2 will be made up for your arrival. Bedlinen and towels for the 5th and 8th guests using the additional single bed in bedroom 1 or the single bed in the landing area outside bedroom 2 are available for an extra 25 euros per person.

The rates below are for the house rental, in euros, per week, and include utilities. In addition there will be a mandatory final cleaning charge of 90 euros added to each booking, regardless of length of stay.

The house is available to rent with a flexible changeover day with 4 day minimum stay at most times of the year.
