Brides Les Bains

The small spa town of Brides les Bains is linked to Meribel by a modern gondola and is a favourite with budget conscious skiers who want to ski the Three Valleys. This quiet, traditionally French resort has a good choice of shops and restaurants which are open all year. You will also find all of the amenities needed day to day, including Post office, Tourist information, doctors and pharmacy.

It is connected to the 3 Valleys by gondola linking direct to the Meribel ski slopes, and from there to the whole of the 3 Valleys. It advertises itself as 'Payez moins, skier plus' or 'Pay less, ski more' because prices in Brides for accommodation, restaurants and entertainment are less than up in the mountain resorts and yet it enjoys easier access to the motorway due to it’s valley location. Meribel itself is located right at the heart of the Three Valleys domain and so the gondola from Brides links to a great point for easy access to all of the 180 plus lifts.

A ski pass bought in Brides-les-Bains, which includes the gondola, is cheaper than one purchased in Meribel for the same ski area. We are also able to provide discounted passes to guests booked at some of our accomodation.

Brides is also famous for its thermal spa and cures dedicated to weight loss and muscular or joint problems. The 1500 m2 spa can be enjoyed apres ski, or for summer relaxation. It includes a hammam (Turkish steam baths), sauna, body therapies and a relaxation room.

The town is as lively in summer as in the winter. It is an excellent base to explore the beautiful Tarentaise area by car, walking, cycling or mountain biking, Or enjoy horse riding, white water rafting, kayaking and conoeing and it is on the doorstep of the Vanoise National Park. It has a lovely river running through the centre bordered with riverside walks and play areas. There are lots of great restaurants, cafes and bars as well as interesting shops - and even a disco and casino. There is an excellent market every Wednesday in the summer months. Everything you could need or want within a very short walk, summer or winter.
