Brides 2 Bedroom Town House
This is a cosy and welcoming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the centre of Brides-les-Bains, situated in a pretty and quiet residential area surrounded by trees and attractive gardens, just behind the park which is close to the Thermes.
The old house, built in traditional stone, is small, but provides a comfortable place for 4 people (6 people if sofa bed is used). It is located directly on a quiet ruelle which is the start of one of the footpaths to the hills behind Brides. The house has an open ground floor with full kitchen open to a cosy banquette and dining area with designer fabrics and squashy cushions, so everyone can enjoy eating together and discussing the day’s adventures into the night. There is a wall mounted smart TV & DVD which enables viewing via your own streaming platforms. The kitchen area is well equipped with everything guests could need with a full oven, hob with three cooking areas plus dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment.
There is a shower room and storage on the ground floor, with shower, washbasin and storage, toilet and washing machine.
On the middle floor, there is a dual aspect double bedroom with comfortable double bed and access to the front balcony with lovely views. The mountain views from this room can be appreciated from bed. On the same floor there is a new main bathroom with bath with a shower over, basin and toilet.
From the middle floor, the new pine staircase takes you to the recently renovated grenier/ loft floor. On this floor, to the front, is a twin bedroom. It is dual aspect with mountain views. The remainder of the top floor is open plan, providing a small lounge area, sofa-bed and TV. Please note the log burning stove is currently only decorative and cannot be used for live fires. As with the rest of the house, heating is by an electric radiator. This room has rear access down some steps to the decking area and a steeply pitched garden area.
The new decking area provides a quiet haven to enjoy the garden and is quite large enough for all to be seated on deckchairs with a table and chairs for al fresco dining
There are various features to make the smallest guests welcome. There is permenant stairgate on the staircase between ground and first floor, window locks on low windows as well as a travel cot and highchair you can use.
The house has a private parking space right beside the house and there is a new, good sized lockable shed for bike or equipment storage and a separate locakable shed for skiis. Brides centre is close by within an easy 10 minute walk. Here you can find a good selection of restaurants, bars and the Tourist Office with Cinema (films in both French and English). The Thermes is even closer at just 450 m from the house, being an easy and pleasant 7 minute walk across the park to reach it, or a 2 minute drive into the centre and Thermes.
The Olympe telecabine is just 750m away and the skibus stop is just at the end of our little road and within a couple of minutes walk from the house, so if you dont want to carry skiis to the Olympe you can just catch one of the frequent navettes. Alternatively hire a locker at the Telecabine for your stay and enjoy unemcumbered walking which passes shops and bars along the way for a spot of apres ski!

Rates
The rates below are for the house rental, in euros, per week, and include utilities. In addition there will be a mandatory final cleaning charge of 120 euros added to each booking, regardless of length of stay.
A discount of 15% on the rental part (exclusive of final cleaning charge and any extra linens) is offered for stays of 21 nights or longer.
The house is available to rent with a flexible changeover day with 5 day minimum stay at most times of the year.
Linens and towels are available to hire with a double set including bedding for the double bed plus 2 large & 2 small towels costing 35 euros and a single set 25 euros, including bedding for a single bed plus 1 large and 1 small towel.
Taxe de sejour will be added to the final payment and is applicable to adults per night, at any time of year.
