Deer Lodge - 5 Bedroom Chalet with Sauna in Peisey

A gorgeous, recently renovated, very spacious luxury ski chalet (182m2) located in the small and traditional Savoyarde village of Peisey-Nancroix. Nestled right at the heart of the old village, it is a quiet location without loud nightlife but with a boulangerie, Intersport and small supermarket as well as a couple of bars all close to the chalet. These are conveniently placed midway along the short walk to the Lonzagne bucket lift, which links Peisey village directly to the Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express.

Sleeping 14 in 5 luxurious ensuite bedrooms, the renovation has been extremely sympathetic to a long history, retaining beams and ancient features, but complemented by stylish modern finishes in the bathrooms and the high end large kitchen. Here the open kitchen/dining area includes a huge wooden table made from timber salvaged from the original building. The upstairs lounge is spacious and enjoys fabulous views down the valley from the floor to ceiling glass “A” frame that forms one side of the room. It is a perfect place to gather and relax after a days skiing on the huge squashy sofas in front of the wood stove.

The apartment is provided on a self catering basis. However, catering can be supplied separately by Chloe's Cuisine, a fabulous and personal service just for the chalets in Peisey village. There is a wide range of options from full catering with your own daily chalet host, to a drop off service for restaurant quality evening meals for you to heat yourselves.

Peisey-Nancroix is part of the Peisey-Vallandry resort in the Les Arcs ski area. This is then part of the huge Paradiski domain, one of the largest ski domains in the world and with fabulous pistes for all abilities, from protected nursery slopes for beginners to learn without pressure to some of the best black runs with the longest descents in the world and superb off piste opportunities. There is a skibus stop 40m from the lodge, linking to the bucket lift or to the nordic ski centre at Pont-Baudin, or it is a short 400m walk to the Lozange bucket lift linking to Plan Peisey. From here there is a choice of the fast 6-seater chairlift direct to the heart of Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express linking les Arcs with la Plagne - the two main areas making up the enormous Paradiski domain. Peisey is perfectly situated at the centre of the two areas offering the very widest of choices for skiing.

The chalet is over two main levels. The large lounge is on the top floor to take advantage of the beautiful views through the "A" frame window and has a mezzanine living room with squashy sofas and space to spread and relax, a digital TV with both UK and French channels, DVD and games console and a wood pellet stove for cosy evenings.

In addition there are two bedrooms on this level. The master bedroom also has great views out of the window installed into the ancient loading dock complete with original ironwork. This has a double bed, room for a cot or child’s bed and a luxury ensuite with double basin, separate shower and bath.

The second bedroom is accessed by a second staircase and is a family room, that can sleep 4 or 5 in two areas, with 2 single beds which can make 1 double bed, 2 single beds plus 1 further short single (160cm long) and an ensuite shower room.

On the lower level is the huge kitchen and dining room, 3 ensuite bedrooms and the services room. The large open kitchen and dining area has a fabulously equipped open kitchen - enough to cater for anything from the morning baguette and coffee to magnificent haute cuisine for all! The dining area has a huge table which can seat twelve to fourteen, allowing the whole party to sit and enjoy meals together whilst recounting the day’s exploits.

On the same level are three more bedrooms. The master room on this level has three single beds, two of which can be pushed together and ensuite with double basin, bath with shower over and WC.

The second bedroom on this level is a spacious twin room with 2 singles which can make a double and an ensuite shower room. The third bedroomh on this level is a spacious room with 3 single beds - two of which can be pushed together - and an ensuite with walk in shower, basin and WC.

The services area has washing machine and dryer available.

In addition, the chalet includes an electric bootdryer in the entranceway, plus heating bar so coats hung here should be dried overnight. There is a separate ski room with ski storage.

To complete your stay the rental also includes the use of a shared games room with pool table- which is shared between just the two chalet apartments which make up this huge property plus a new wooden caravan style sauna, again shared between the two chalet capartments.

Prices

The rates below are for the rental of Deer Lodge on a self-catered basis, per week, and include utilities, wifi, heating and pellets for the wood stove. In addition there will be a mandatory final cleaning charge of 300 euros added to each booking, regardless of length of stay.

Good quality bedlinens and towels will be provided for stays of 7 nights or more in winter season only (13th December 2025 to 24th April 2026). For shorter stays within that period, or for stays outside those dates linens can normally be hired at a cost of 24 euros per person.
